Fifteen
years ago, this group hot-wired punk-rock attitude to country music
and helped prepare the world for everything from k.d. langs initial
ruckus to the contemporary Son Volt. Now sober and seasoned, the band
is back together, and many fans will embrace this album as its finest
work ever. It extends from the kicking Kick Me Down to singer Jason
Ringenbergs haunting duet with Emmylou Harris on Everything Has
a Cost, with plenty of surprises in between.
