Scorchers

The Scorchers, minus Perry Baggs, played a semi-acoustic set at Tower
Records on 2404 West End Avenue in Nashville on Saturday, February 2nd,
from 5:15-6:00 PM. This appearance celebrated the release of their new
CD "Wildfires and Misfires."
At Tower Records, the band signed autographs afterward, and gave away
two vintage posters - one from 1983, and one from 1984. Here is the

Jason said, "...we've never played this for people before..."
when introducing "Fallen Angel."
Jason's 4.25 y/o Addie Rose was introduced, as was her younger sister,
Camille Grace (& were cradled in Daddy's arms, on-stage).
Warner had a most definite "jazz flavor" to his chops (in
my not-so-humble opinion).
Jason sez [Wildfires] it's "his favorite Scorcher record".
Mine too (Still Standing is my not-too-distant 2nd; Thunder & Fire
3rd).
I apologize that jasonandthescorchers.com didn't announce the
Tower Records appearance in time, before it happened. We took a break
in January after a pretty intense 2001 working on the site. Look below
for what you can expect from jats.com in 2002.
The band, and fans, greatly enjoyed the four 20th anniversary shows
in December. The band was legitimately touched by the excellent turnout,
as the shows were either close or actual sellouts. Here are three set
