Jack Emerson 1960-2003: Benefit concert at Mercy Lounge Friday, December 12th

Jack Emerson, the original manager of Jason and the Scorchers and the
co-founder of the independent record label E-Squared, died in Nashville on
November 22. He was 43.

A benefit concert to defray some of the Emerson family’s medical expenses has been scheduled for Friday, December 12th. It will be held at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville, at One Cannery Row: (615)251-3020. Below is a press release about the show:

BENEFIT SHOW FOR THE LATE JACK EMERSON, DECEMBER 12th, MERCY LOUNGE

In an effort to help Jack Emerson’s family defray the considerable medical costs that mounted over the months preceding his untimely passing, many of the artists he worked with over the course of his twenty years in the business have organized a concert at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville on Friday December 12. Doors 7:30 pm, Show 8:30 pm, tickets available at the door only, $30 minimum donation, cash on the barrelhead! There will also be a silent auction with some irresistible CD collections & box sets. All proceeds go to the family.

PERFORMANCES BY:

John Hiatt and the Goners, Sonny Landreth, Steve Earle and Justin Earle, Jason and the Scorchers, Billy Joe Shaver and Band.
Also performances by Steve Forbert, Webb Wilder, Tim Krekel, and Bill Lloyd.
The Emcee will be Rev. Keith Coes from Lightning 100. Promotional support provided by WRLT- Lightning 100.
