January 2010

It's been a while since we heard anything from Jason & The Scorchers, but it only needs one track from their adrenaline fuelled return album, "Halcyon Times" to make you realise that it's like they've never been away. Musically the band haven't really moved on, but that's the great thing about being a cowpunk band, you don't have to. The band maybe older, but they haven't grown up. There's a line in the opening song about "being a moonshine guy in a six pack world" if that doesn't summon up the spirit of this album, nothing will.
